Purpose Does Not Pause

Over the past few weeks, many of you have reached out with kindness, memories, and heartfelt support following Mike Pallin’s death on December 7. On behalf of our entire team and family, thank you. Your words and prayers have meant more than you know. 

As we contemplate how to move forward, we’re reminded of a moment from our shared history. 

In 2020, during the early and uncertain days of the pandemic, we launched a series called Business As Usual*. For 67 days, Mike and Mary showed up consistently to bring stability, encouragement, and perspective to our community. There were daily messages, weekly songs written by Mike, and a steady reminder that even in disruption, commitment and discipline still mattered.

When that series ended, it felt strange. Abrupt. How do you stop something that became such a constant?

That feeling mirrors where we are now.

Moving forward without Mike leading the way will never feel the same. We are grieving and we will continue to honor that loss. At the same time, there is a truth Mike lived by that guides us now:

Purpose does not pause.

Our mission has not changed.
Our Core Values have not changed.
Our commitment to this work has not changed.

We continue to deliver the highest-impact training and coaching in the industry. We continue to be the exclusive stewards of Floyd. And we will continue to protect and carry forward both Floyd Wickman’s and Mike Pallin’s legacies through the work we do each day.

As President of The Floyd Wickman Team, I can say with confidence that this organization is in capable, passionate hands. We have four exceptional coaches leading with clarity, care, and resolve as we head into the New Year, fully committed to serving you and your business.

Mike believed deeply in this work. He was always thinking ahead, always asking: Who else needs this? Who else could succeed if they had the right structure, guidance, and accountability?
