Guess what happened in 1980?

 

According to FedPrimeRate.com (a mortgage interest rate tracking website), rates rose above 10% in November of 1978 and stayed there until November of 1990, peaking at 18.45% in October 1982. 

 

Audiences in 1980 said"But Floyd, you can't sell real estate with interest rates this high."

You recall 2009?  We heard: "But Floyd, you can't sell real estate with the economy in shambles."
